Local 1945 Treasurer Andrew Morris Delivers Coats to Beattie Elementary School

The Local 1945 (PFA Firefighters) with partnership of the Kristi Visocky Memorial Foundation were able to provide 288 coats to our community this week. 258 of those went directly to PSD schools. The other 30 were to Mujeres De Colores, who’s service work is committed to help our most vulnerable, the working poor and the low income within Fort Collins.

The mission of this was to provide warmth, confidence, and hope to children in need through the gift of a brand-new winter coat. Hopefully, these coats will offer both physical and emotional warmth and help our youth to a brighter future.

As servants to our community it was an honor and a privilege to be a part of giving to those in need. We understand that families are struggling this time of year and want to add a little warmth in these tough times.
